Scottish born, Australian folk singer Harry Robertson wrote The Ballina Whalers in 1970 and Nic Jones recorded what is perhaps the seminal version as The Humpback Whale on his Penguin Eggs album of 1980.
A poetic testament to a grim period of human history.
